Community Reinvestment at Work!
How Cannabis businesses can have real impact in harmed communities:

Under the Cannabis Control Commission's regulatory framework, cannabis business licensees are required to donate a portion of their earnings into activities and programs that will have an impact in host communities disproportionately harmed by past criminalization.

Unfortunately for cannabis business operators, most 501c3 organizations will not accept their donations. This has made it extremely difficult to donate the appropriate amount to meet requirements. However, there are a few organizations that are beginning to accept these donations. One such organization accepting Cannabis funding is PACC Global.

In the video below, Jamal Gooding explains the work he and the PACC Global volunteers have been doing in the community and how cannabis business operators can help him make a positive impact in the community. By supporting organizations like PACC Global, they can help to ensure that these communities have access to the resources they need to thrive.

PACC Global is a non-profit organization that provides support for formerly incarcerated individuals, DCF Youth, emerging young adults and anyone who's second language is English. PACC was founded in 2016 by Jamal Gooding, who himself has firsthand experience with the challenges that ex-offenders face, having served time in prison himself. After his release, Jamal was determined to help others who were in similar situations. PACC has helped countless individuals rebuild their lives after incarceration, and Jamal's work has been featured in multiple media outlets. He has been recognized as a leading voice in the fight against mass incarceration, and PACC is proof that anyone can turn their life around, no matter how difficult their circumstances may be. Thanks to Jamal's dedication and PACC's resources, countless people have been given a second chance at life.

In the video below Jamal Gooding talks about all of the different programs PACC Global has available for people in need. He starts with the fresh fruits and vegetables program where families receive produce for $2. The Middleborough House is a program for returning citizens. It provides them with a safe and supportive environment so that they can successfully reintegrate into society. The job training programs being offered at the new building 340 Warren ave in Brockton are helping to prepare people for careers in the culinary arts, beauty care, and construction. Finally, their initiatives with the youth to develop their artistic talent are making a difference in the lives of young people in the community. Each of these programs is making a real and lasting difference in the lives of those who participate, and PACC Global is making a positive impact on the entire community.
